Privacy policy

This page explains, in plain English, what information Bluesky Safety collects through this website and how we handle it.

Who we are

Bluesky Safety is a workplace safety and workforce compliance support business based in Mildura VIC, working with farms, orchards, packhouses, labour hire providers and regional businesses across Sunraysia and surrounding regions. This policy covers this website and the enquiries we receive through it.

What we collect through the appointment form

When you send an appointment request, we collect the details you enter:

  • your name and business name
  • your email address and phone number
  • your business type and the services you are interested in
  • your preferred appointment date, time window and meeting preference
  • your site suburb or town, if you provide it
  • any message you write describing the help you need
  • your acknowledgement that we may contact you about the enquiry

Please don't include sensitive information — such as health details, incident details about a named worker, or personal information about other people — in the message field. If that information is needed, we'll discuss the right way to handle it when we speak.

Why we collect it

We use these details to respond to your enquiry, confirm an appointment time, understand what support you're after, and keep a record of the request. We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists from this form.

How it is stored and protected

Appointment requests are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a hosted database used only by this website. Access rules are configured so that submitted requests cannot be read, edited or deleted from the public website — the form can only add a new request. Access to stored enquiries is limited to Bluesky Safety and the hosting provider's administrative systems.

We also send a notification of new requests to our own business inbox so we can follow up promptly.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Who we may disclose it to

We may share your information where it is reasonably necessary:

  • with service providers who operate this website, its database and our email — they handle the information on our behalf
  • with people you ask us to deal with, such as a manager or colleague at your business
  • where we are required or authorised to do so by law

Access and correction

You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ops@blueskysafety.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on the request.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records while we're in contact with you and for as long as we reasonably need them for our business and record-keeping purposes. We haven't set a fixed retention period for website enquiries. If you'd like your enquiry details removed, contact us and we'll delete them unless we're required to keep them.

Website and technical information

Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. This website does not run advertising trackers, and we don't use cookies to build a marketing profile of you.

External services and links

This site is built and hosted using third-party platforms, and loads web fonts from an external provider. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. Any links to other websites are provided for convenience — we're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Complaints and contact

If you have a question or concern about how we've handled your information, email ops@blueskysafety.com with the details and we'll look into it and reply to you. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our website or business practices change. The current version is always the one published on this page.
